A 428 HO wagon?
Don't see many 428 HO wagons. Check it out:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ADME:B:SS:MT:1 Looks fairly solid, but this would be one expensive wagon when you got finished restoring it! Sure is a darn sweet tow vehicle, though. |
Nevermind. this is a board member's car. Very cool.

Neat car. I've seen 428 wagons before, but never one with a 428HO.
I was pretty sure that the YH was the "standard" horsepower big motor so I checked 3 different sources all of which confirmed it. There's no shame in having "only" 360 horses.:)
Are you sure? The owner is saying that YH was the 376 HP engine in 1967. I know the YH was the 360HP version in '69 ... but could it be HO for '67? He is pointing people in the ad to this site, which backs up the claim: http://www.teufert.net/pontiac/engcodes.htm Not that I care that much, as I'm not buying or selling the car. Just mildly curious. |
Mattgouras, The engine list that he has linked has many errors in it- there are 2 listings for the '67 YH code on that list. They have it listed as a 400 and the 428 HO. Neither are correct.
I checked the first three resources that came to mind after seeing his ebay questions. I checked the engine code databases on Wallace Racing and Classical Pontiac and also checked the engine code listings in Standard Catalog of Pontiac and all of them agreed- 360 horse 428. I'm not trying to be a ball-buster, just correct a mistake.:-ohwell: I'd love to see a 428 HO wagon, that'd be really cool. |
Too bad indeed.

STILL A REAL COOL WAGON! LOVE THAT FRONT END!!!!!!!!

It is my wagon that is on eBay. I thought it was a 428HO but I found out that it is only 360hp instead of 376hp. It is still an awesome wagon though and if you saw it in person you wouldn't believe how solid it is. I drove it again today just for the heck of it! LOL! Sorry about the confusion on the HO. Dave
