Great stuff there Pat! This info does however come with the 1972 PHS packet. I have some of this same type of info for 1969 and 1970 cars. Thanks to Fred Simmonds for allot of these figures that are now published information today. He did a tremendous amount of manual labor back in the 80's to document options, colors, etc. including RAIV breakdowns!

Amen to that, glad Mr. Simmonds saved a bunch of these memos too! I think this is where PHS must be getting this information. Yes, this came in my 72 PHS packet. They must have started putting this info in recently, because I have not seen any of these numbers published..or put out there for others. So you have a break down of all options in 69 and 70 then? Scan em in and share em! :)

Came in my PHS docs when I bought my HO lemans. Couldn't believe it, thought it was a mistake or something. I misplaced it for a few months and made myself sick looking for them. Finally found them (obviously) so I thought I'd share the info.

Maybe some numbers crunchers can make hides or tales of them. I used these numbers to try and find how many 4spd HO's and auto HO's lemans there were. I know there were 46 HO lemans hard top made. Got the breakdown down to the 46 but figured out why there is no breakdown beyond that....no data differentiating b/n transmissions...M22's, M20's, 3 speeds etc.

I have them in PDF format now, now can anyone tell me how to place each separate document page into one big PDF file with multiple pages?

I have always wanted to know how many Police Enforcers were produced and how many chassis/cars were sent to Stageway, etc. This is really great info.

I noticed on the last page with the cc, there is a check mark next to Tom Goad's name. I wonder if Mr. Goad supplied this memo to PHS. Tom Goad was a Pontiac Product Planner during those years. He was a guest speaker at our local POCI chapter meeting a few years ago. He presented a slide show with photos of all these neat cars (some test mules, prototypes, production cars, etc.) while he worked at GM. Very nice man and very passionate about Pontiacs.

Regarding the PDF file. I don't think you can combine individual PDF files into one file. In order to get all 15 pages into one PDF file, you will have to scan one page right after another into a newly created file. If you have trouble, you can FAX to me and I will scan into PDF file format.

i'd also like a pdf copy and i'll offer my help in putting ALL pages in one pdf file. it can be done, i do it all the time at work using adobe standard 6.0.

click on docuemnt, pages insert and add one page after the other. takes about 10 seconds per page.

A word of note on these stats:

Let's say you want to know how many GTOs were built with power windows in 1972. You scan the list and find how many Lemanses were built with power windows, then figure out the percentage of GTOs versus all Lemanses and apply that percentage.

If you're thinking about doing this, you'll be doing something that's statistically incorrect. The numbers have to stand alone as they are except where obvious, such as the WW5 package, for example. Don't try to extrapolate stuff because, in the end, you'll be spreading misinformation. :twocents:
