Pete Serio

Another thumbs up for Pete. Called him last Tuesday to order some gauge parts. He was very informative and friendly.
Got my parts today and they lok great.
I will be sending him my Hurst shifter to rebuild in the next day or two.

Also...

aside from being the BEST game in town...Pete may be the ONLY game in town! The recent acquisition of Hurst by B&M has led to a service which may be sketchy...at best. They have stated that they will be rebuilding shifters on a "trial basis." Also, they are so backed up with orders that all of their energy will be concentrated at getting caught up with these orders and the shifter thing won't be a priority for quite some time. I'm not saying that you can't get your shifter rebuilt anywhere else...just that you'd be foolish to do so. Pete has always done a much more comprehensive job than Hurst to begin with. Now..you're just rolling the dice. While you're at it, have him send you one of his books on "Vintage Hurst Shifters." It'll pay for itself the first time you use it. Great for debunking E-Bay listings or as a swap meet guide. Very informative with oodles of illustrations for us "I need a picture" guys! Peter is the Professor of positive shifts! His guages are artwork, as well. No worries! Ron

I emailed Pete a few weeks ago regarding the correct shifter for my 68 Firebird. He informed me that he did not have one in stock and not only emailed me back with the shifter and application that was currently installed my car (69 Camaro) he went way out and located a correct shifter on Ebay which I bought that had the correct body and handle.

I can't say enough about the "initial" customer service Pete offered without being a paying customer as yet.

In my opinion, I am sold on his customer service and other members positive experiences. My shifter will go nowhere else other than Pete.

I have just received my rebuilt shifter from Pete. It looked amazing. He did a high quality job, and even mocked it on one of his trannies for me and sent me the photo. He was always available to talk and was very friendly by both phone and e-mail. Thank you again Pete.

Thanks, I'm just getting back in to GTOs after a 34 year lay off...appreciate all the advice I can get.

My shifter is a competition plus and it is giving me a headache.

I've been working on a new book, all about Hurst.

If anyone has photos or something interesting that they would like to contribute, it would be great!

If anyone out there has any questions about anything Hurst made (Pontiac or other) parts owned or have seen and which they would like me to address, please EM them to me at [email protected]

I am currently working on a chapter which is going to include an OE section of several different brands and makes of cars. If it had a Hurst shifter in it when it was sitting on a showroom floor I sure would like to know about it!

Just got off the phone with Pete. He took about 30 to 40 mins of his time explaning to me about redoing my gauge cluster for my 67 GTO. What a pleasure to deal with!!! I will be sending my cluster to him next week.
