A/C under dash courtesy lamp mounting?
Hello,
I'm putting my '69 convertible with A/C back together and need to know where the under-dash courtesy lamp mounts on the passenger side. The driver side mounts to the bottom of the dash like a non-A/C I assume, but the under-dash A/C vent is in the way on the passenger side. There is a hole in a tab on the A/C vent duct but there doesn't seem to be a way to get the lamp to mount properly without making some kind of spacer... Anyone? A picture would help, if possible. thanks in advance, Russ |
only one lamp installed in the center of the dash over the console.

I think only the non AC was the single over the console. I had an absolutely unmolested 69 AC car and it had two lights, one on the driverside and one on the passenger side. I'm almost positive it screwed through the dash on the other side of the plastic AC vent asy. My non a/c convertible has a single light over the console. Makes sense since the single light in the center would have no where to go with the bottom AC duct in place.

It does mount to the bottom of the ac duct work. I will try and post a picture tonight.

Absoutly mounts with a metal tab to the end of the lower A/C duct.
