Difference between 2005 and 2006?
 

I'm looking to buy one of the GTOs. I'm trying to decide between the 05 and 06. What are the differences?

Aside from color choices the only differences are:

2005
Unlit steering wheel controls
No door lock button
Red tail lights
Slow seat motors

2006
Lighted steering wheel controls
Door lock button
Black tail lights
Slightly faster (but still slow) seat motors

So there's not enough difference between them to matter. If I find an 05 I shouldn't hesitate to buy it? How much do nice 05's sell for? and 06's?

I don't know those slighty faster seats are pretty cool!

Prices are all over the place, you've been on ls1gto.com, right? Good idea to check the market there and then do the normal Ebay search for cars that have sold.

But seriously, if I were in the market and color didn't matter I would look at an '06 simply because the warranty will last a little longer. The '05 and '06 are pretty much the same car.

minor faults
some '05's had bad gas pedal sensors (drive by wire)
some '06's had leaking struts
minor warranty issues nothing to worry about.
Some colors only for 2006, Spice red metallic and Brazen orange metallic.

No matter which one you get you won't be sorry.:D
