Engine Upgrade

I've been looking around online and I can't seem to find many engine parts for my 1964 Grand Prix. The engine is a 389. In particular I was looking to upgrade intake manifold and carburetors. I don't have the cash flow for a tri-power setup. Companies like Edelbrock only seem to make 65+. Are there any companies out there that make parts for my engine? Any suggestions

Thanks
John

On eBay you will find a lot of the pre-65 stuff. You just have to be patent and what you want is bound to show up.

Appears offenhauser makes a high rise.

Also www.thepartsplaceinc.com has a quote "good" original used 4bbl intake for $200.

Seems any 61-64 389 intake will fit. Changed in 65. Good luck.

I wonder if high rise cause any clearance problems? Prevent the hood from closing, I do notice that it takes 2 4bbl carbs. Time to research those now.
