After 37 Years, the Humbler VOE GTO Returns

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mwov5Kp0SCE

Check the new video of a true VOE GTO running the new generation VOE mufflers. Turn the sound up and you can hear the valves switching. You can hear the Humbler rumble when they are in the loud mode.

It is hard for the camera microphone to relay the 10 dBA sound differential but it is there.

Awesome cars these are!

Nice work on resurrecting a rare option! So, the big question: Are you going to charge $2,000 for a handful of them, or $200 for thousands?

Beautiful '70 vert you got there BTW.

BILTIT 09-05-2007 05:47 PM

Pretty cool!

Tom Hand 09-05-2007 06:25 PM

Hi Greg, unfortunately, that is not my car but I wish it was!
I have completed my building fun. All I have left are two for my own Cuda.
Another company is looking into them but we will not know for sure how much or when. They will not be produced by the thousands though so that price is too low and they will not be $2000 fortunately! :):)
Thanks,
Tom

Tom,
Thanks for that update. There is nothing that thrills my innermost "GTO dude soul", like that sound!
Please let us know if these become available and how much?
Charles

The mufflers sound great! What cam does the GTO have in it?

Tom Hand 09-05-2007 09:35 PM

Blue 66, not sure but it is a bigger that stock one. :):)
Charles, this new company may be ready to share details after we get a sample or two worked out and tested so please keep your eyes peeled for more information later this year.
Thanks much!
Tom

Great work Tom it must have taken passion to develop and resurrect such a great yet short lived Pontiac option. Kudos! Keep us up to date on the progress of things with the company.

The video confirms it- I WILL have a ball with the 2 1/2" VOE mufflers Tom built for me!

gtome 09-14-2007 03:06 PM

My left nut will promptly be placed in the mail for my set!

Tom Hand 09-14-2007 05:47 PM

GTOME,

I hate to even ask but in today's market, what would a left nut be valued at? Is it significantly more or less than any other nut?

That is one of the funniest responses I have seen for a while. Thanks!
Tom

Jack Gifford 09-15-2007 03:49 AM

I still got 'em both.

Old Goat 67 09-15-2007 04:42 AM

Tom,
Significantly higher price if that's the only one you have remaining!

I saved my nuts, (and my cash) and bought one of the first sets of stainless VOE mufflers and was very happy with the quality. I waited a long time as I knew the final product would be first class. Great Job Tom H.
