1/2" Fuel Pickup
I'm replacing the fuel delivery system in my '64 with 1/2 lines, new stock configuration tank, etc. I want to use a pickup with 1/2" line, but I cannot find one. Saw an article in Car Craft about replacing a gas tank in a Chevelle, and they used a pickup from InnovativeEngineering. I can't find any information about the company or who sells the part. I've also read the threads that address modifying a pickup with 1/2'" line, but I'd rather buy one. Any ideas?
Thanks. |
I saw the same article as you did, but I was not able to locate the sender. I fabricated one using my existing sender and 1/2" copper flex. If you are able to located those senders, please post here. I'd buy one for sure... There are other posts on this topic somewhere in the archives...

1/2" Pickup
Thanks, guys. I sent an email to the company asking if they knew of a source for GTO pickups. I'll letcha know what I find out.

FWIW. I fabricated a 1/2" pick up line in my 68 Firebird. Then I replaced it with a fuel cell due to fuel starvation issues and picked up a tenth and a half and 1.6 MPH. Personally, I would sump the tank.
