Anything Can Be Fixed

OK guys. After you check out this link I think you will agree that anything can be fixed. This man is building an Impala from a rolled over, rusted, left in a ditch for 20 years 1961 Impala convertible. The thread is loaded with pictures on the Team Impala Forums. You all will be amazed and thankful for what you have to work with.

Back from the dead

Wow...., Truly amazing. You do need to see this to believe it. I promise to never complain about my Bonneville having rust problems ever again. Compared to this.......what rust problems???? Goes to show what someone driven can do.

Thats gonna take a while. glad to see another classic kept from the crusher. My philosophy has always been "if man made it, man can fix it"

RASK 12-19-2007 02:23 PM

Got to admire that kind of dedication, I don't love my car that much. Kind of makes me wonder if he has a job or wife.

Jeff Walker 12-19-2007 03:23 PM

Wow!:oogle::oogle:

That is amazing!!!!! Can you imagine the $$$ that would be for that much work if someone had to pay for it?:eek: I wonder if he has kept track of the hours he has into that car?

BTW the outline of the checkered flags on the hood and trunk indicate that it was a 348 car.

I gotta admit I was a bit disappointed when I got to page 2 and seen that he is not finding an original engine for it.:(

Unbelievable what that man has done in a short period of time. That is total dedication to a cause. I will follow that Restoration to see the end result. If the gentleman is married it is to that 61 Impala.

Tempest 12-19-2007 05:23 PM

He says he's 'not a welder'. He is now. That is great to follow. Thanls for posting this link 3 Chiefs.
