Indian Adventures Gone?
 

I used Indian Adventures Tripower throttle shafts for years. They were great quality!! I understand they have recently quit business and are nowhere to be found. Is this true? Did the engine block not work out? What happened?

Yes......it's true.

Indian Adventures is NOT the same as All Pontiac! All Pontiac is responsible for the IAII block, and is alive and well. Just wanted to clear that up.

There 61-64 B body Ground Grabbers were the best!

I thought they just moved to a larger shop in Upton Massachusetts? Is that not true?

They we going to move to Hopedale MA, but it did not work out.

i ran into dick duclaw at a show here in fla a few months back and it seemed he had nothing to do with it any more,thats all i know

I run their slip fit headers on my '65 and the fit up is great.

Spoke with Dick Duclow today and his brother lives in the area of where IA is/was/ His brother has been trying to find the guys that took IA over from Dick and has not seen hide nor hair of them for many weeks now. Looks like Indian Adventures/Pontiaction are gone. I am looking to remake the headers for the 78-88 G body cars if I can get a deal worked out. Maybe some other parts that they once offered too.

That's why I am trying to get a hold of them. They offer a few items that I wouldn't mind taking over production of. Posted in the race section hoping word would get back to them as such.

Hope they contact me as I have left messages with them before they disk appeared.

Just start making them Ken! I'll bet you you'll here from them then! ;)

Everything I ever got from them was top notch. Service was awesome, that's a shame.

I'm sorry to say, the two brothers I sold the company to have "disapearred".

The engine block program was sold to All Pontiac and they have done a magnificent job of improving what was a great product. The rest of the Indian Adventures company was sold to BGP Engineering.

They seem to have run it into the ground and closed the doors.

If any of you are able to get in touch with them, I'd like to find them, please let me know.

The phone is out of service, there cell phones are no longer active, etc.

Yoo bad, it was a fun company that made a lot of good products for the Pontiac hobby.:(

Let me know if you find out what happened to them as they owe my brother-in-law some money for some valley pans and stuff he made for them.

I'm sure you remember Paul Gill at Gill Metal Fab, he asked me about them and I told him I'd try to find out where they went.

I spoke to those guys late last year. And their reason for "moving" was that the town of Upton,MA wanted to do "downtown urban renewal".

That being said I saw them finishing up a customer 65' GTO and move boatloads of parts into trailers. The parts alone had to worth tens of thousands of dollars.

I suppose they are laying low hiding out. I'll try to find out what happened to them on Monday.

It appears they owe everybody, including a substantial amount to ME!!

If anyone locates them I would appreciate the info. It's kinda hard to do from Florida.:mad:
