Anyopne have 70 GTO Option Codes?
 

Looking to decode my build sheet and have only decoded 1/2 the sheet. A/C etc...

Anyone have a list of the options list or link decoded for a 70?

Hi, where did you find your build sheet? Do you know the production date of your car? My 70 Judge came off the Oshawa line in early December 1969.

4th week of April in 70. Delivered to the dealer on the 25th!

The car had 40,000 on it and was a total virgin when I bought it. 2 build sheets were under the rear seat! Same ones. Came with a protect-o-plate as well with full service records. Canadian car with A/C....weird.

Post your codes and we'll decipher for you.

Strict70, the codes weren't different, just the format of the build sheet. If you want, you can E-mail me ([email protected]) your codes in question and/or a clear copy of the build sheet and I will help you to decipher it as much as I can. There are other avenues to finding your info. too, but it costs.

You might need to double check those four option codes that Mike didn't have.

I've checked ALL of my 1970 reference materials, and can find NO references to any of those four.

VERY nicely optioned GTO, by the way.

I have no idea what the other options are either with the car being totally original....I can't even think of any other options on it that come to mind.

Spare? Trunk mat? Floor mats? ..hmmm dunno.

The AWF is more than likely the rear axle, WF (but you stated it had G80 and code should have been XF). The EYS is more than likely the engine, YS. And the TPY is more than likely the transmission, PY. I was thinking the O76 was actually the U76, mis-typed. One has to love build sheets.

Mine too. I guess they were built for US, mine was delivered to NY.

Decoding options I have been trying to do for years? Id say you kicked ass my friend.

I thought the codes were part of the PHS documentation. Mine were.

Never got PHS as the car had all the doc's with it when I bought it..just needed the codes.

I bought mine new but decided to get the PHS anyhow. Found out a couple of things I did not know. Got a copy of the shipping document. My car had some wierd shipping arrangements as it was bought through the dealer in Kodiak, AK but delivered to the airport at SEATAC and was prepped by an independent company. Shipping dest was Portland, OR but that was not final dest.
