Thinking about a set of headers

Thinking about putting a set of headers on my 66 tempest. It has the 455 and was wondering which headers to by and how bad they are to install?

headers are tools of the devil. go with the HO manifolds set up for 2.5" head pipes

Most here would probably recommend Dougs. I have Hooker Super Comps. Not too difficult to install. Had to trim a small amount from the passenger side A arm and reposition the proportioning valve on the driver side. I also installed a mini starter (RobbMc) for additional clearance.

Where do i get the ram air manifolds these days?

e bay or here.. http://www.ramairrestoration.com/cat...?cPath=31_2_21

i used to have headers (dougs). i bought some factory headers from ramair resto to quiet it down a little bit and they actually made my car a little louder. so i went back to dougs...mostly for performance gains. also, i had a harder time installing the factory headers than i did installing dougs headers.

good luck.
