Very typical problems. Sometimes you can't give Formula hoods away. You have to find someone with a firebird that wants one.

I just bought a formula hood in slightly better shape (also needed some repair on one corner) for $350. The thing is that they are very hard to come by locally and shipping adds up quick. The aftermarket hoods might be lighter, but I wasn't sure they had all of the ram air provisions.

I really wanted a formula hood, so I am happy with the purchase.

I can have it for $250
I already have one but same thing damaged corner and ALOT of broken fingers so I was thinkin sell mine and take this one we'll see......Chris

Take a few pics and take them to a body shop and see on a price to repair corner.then see if you can strike a deal.trim paid 350.00 for his try to stay in the ball park with repair.good luck.steve

Maybe I should just take MY hood to the Body shop we use and get them to look at it Now theres an idea

IMO, you won't be able to sell your hood for more than 50 bucks. as mentioned, it's the shipping and travel distance involved that's the killer. I was offered a RA hood once for 750 when I bought my Judge, and it wasn't even an original RA hood. Of course that never sold.
