Motor mounts and shifter location
 

what motors mounts do i need to put a small block chevy in my 70' tempest ,just sbc a-body mounts?like for a chevelle? im probably going to use a 700r4 i will have to measure a figure that out, but where would the shifter be if i use a T56 6 speed? thanks

Yes, just use Chevelle frame stands. Getting a T56 to fit will require serious modifications to the transmission tunnel.
