Painted my front end this weekend

Got around to painting my front end this weekend. my car had been hit before I bought it and trashed the nose quite a bit. And the nose paint was cracking in quite a few places anyway. I am pretty happy with how it turned out. Here are a couple of before and after pictures. One thing that always bugged me was the valence and bottom lip of the nose being painted body color. On the nose, it would be hard to really prep that area anyway, and on both sections I always thought it threw off the body lines. I am sure it was painted this way from the factory (there is a whole other thread about the painted valance), and in any case it looks really good that way in my humble opinion.

I did some metal bumping and bondo on the right fender but the paint doesn't match quite as well as I hoped so I am going to end up repainting the whole fender at some point, but needed to get it back together so I could drive it! I actually have a replacement fender but I may or may not put it on. The nose I bought from a forum member because I could not quite get the twist out of the old one and it actually had a rust problem under the right jack opening, so I don't think it could be saved.

I know digital pics do not always tell the whole story, but from what I see you did a very nice job. I would not be ashamed of cruising around in that Formula!!!

looks great, glad the damage didn't reach that nice Formula hood too! I don't think I have seen one of these hoods that lays down that well in a while and your panel fit and alignment on the fenders, valance and nose all came out better than most cars that have never been apart.
