I'm trying to get some ideas for a steering wheel in my car. I still have the original but am thinking about going aftermarket. Some wheels that come to mind are the Grant Challenger, GT signature series, Classic, etc... All pics will be appreciated.

No I agree. They are are just hard to come by in good shape and a repo I believe costs over $200.

whats wrong with a good nice looking wheel costing $200.
Its the item you fondle the most on your car(except the gas pedal)

I would have preferred an original in great shape but until I find one, this will do. And yes, this was 2 weeks after I bought the car and I hadn't found an original radio (it's in there now)

I always wondered how they sew the covers on.
With a Lucite horn button like the wood wheels that would look factory.

Yeah, I have to second that. REALLY nice job! Although you have an aftermarket Grant wheel it looks like stock. Perfect workmanship! If I had seen this before I doubt that I would have given my deluxe steering wheel away for high-$$$ restauration... Way to go!

What you see in the picture is Grant's Pontiac cap

i made one. the cap is a generic grant ($6) that you can get anywhere. i tried the chrome one and i didn't like it. the emblem is for the deluxe door panel. the smaller glove box emblem is on indefinite backorder from py.
