Used tractor source?
 

I'm looking to pick up a diesel, 4x4 tractor in the 25-40 hp range. Looking for something with a front end loader, brush hog, etc.
My budget is $10K or so.

Any tips on where to look and who to deal with, preferably somewhat close to MD.?

I did a search on them, it seems they do a lot of furniture. Do they have a good selection of equipment too?

they sell paintings, furniture and used anything . Ever since the real estate market tanked just about any piece of contractor equipment you can imagine too .

Brief lesson on grey Mkt tractors. These are models of Kubota & others sold in Korea etc. & imported here after they are declared used. I mention this b/c these make up a large portion of the inventory in the HP range you are looking at.

These can be good serviceable machines, but dealers will literally attempt to fight you if you come looking for parts for them. They hate them b/c they are sold for many thousands less than the equip they sell that is non-grey market. Undoubtedly made in the same factory as export models.

I owned a Kubota greymarket with the name Sunshine on it. Equiv. of an L-2650. It was a great machine, & I never had any Probs. (4X4 around 28 HP). FEL & a top tilt kit on the rear. Variable PTO speed. I got good service out of it & worked the crap out of it, but it was too small. Paid about 7 grand for it used at a dealer who has a ton (Beverage Tractor here in VA). They gave & honored a warranty on it for 3 Mos. I had them fix a leaky seal & some other stuff.

Another point. Always buy a size bigger than you think you could possibly need. I ended up buying a JD 4510 & 460 loader. Bid difference in terms of what I can do. Much more hydraulic power to the FEL etc. The good thing is this stuff holds its value, so you can always unload for what you paid & move to the next size.

A dyke horse farmer told me 'Kubota = Add-a-Bead'. I have found this to be true. You spend $ on the attachments like with Pontiacs.

Farm week, Prairie Farmer and other farm publications.

These mags will have a for sale section in them that's like an autp trader.

Just be sure to verify which state it's in as they're national publications.

montgomery county's no longer a farm area, it's all wrecked by suburban development now.
when i was a kid we had a farm in damascus; it's about 35000 houses now.

I'm leaning towards a Kubota L3400.

Bought this one abut an hour ago at auction, drove it home :D

NH TC30 HST Loader, Finish mower, and front blade. Just need to pick up a brush hog.
Only has 100 hours on it.

NICE....the NH is a great machine. I've used NH and Kubota, and the NH ergonomics are waaaaay better. And this is a big deal if you're in the seat for long hours.

To bad you werent closer. im selling a real nice Kubota B8200 I no longer have use for. 4wd w/bucket, york, blade and 5 ft finish mower. I would go craigslist route. Alot of good deals in there on homeowner stuff which is where I found mine.

I brought a Kubota G4200 ride on mower and got it to Australia:ausflag:. The add in the States said & showed a clock with 900 Hours . Sounds good ? It should have shown 9000 Hours ! . Have'nt been able to use it , need an engine , I have looked in on the sites mentioned & am waiting to get membership in MTF & others , But if anyone knows of a dealer or any of you blokes that may have or know of such a prize please give me a shout out .
