Mint Turquoise Judge on Ebay

It's hard to believe Pontiac would let you have red interior on a mint turquoise Judge. They must not have produced many with this combo.

that would be a neat & rare combo for sure

I'm not seeing where that red is the original color for the interior? Looks like a beat 15 year old resto color change. That Judge emblem on the glovebox is up way too high so it's probably a transplanted dash. cut in the drivers door for the missing remote mirror isn't factory either so I'm leaning towards PUI interior on that one. Flaking on the passenger seat lower panel says it's been painted over red instead of red plastic. Can't say for sure without seeing it but my money's on non original red. (of course maybe there's an interior color code in that listing somewhere I'm not seeing?) Column is black instead of red too.

I linked to that auction a week ago in my "Different stuff on EBAY"thread....DW

GM of Canada docs list color as 34-Mint Turquise with 254-interior trim code - red bucket seats.

Neat combo

gto4evr 07-29-2008 04:46 PM

well, that shuts me up on color change, but I still stand by the observations!

You know though with the corresponding red/?/? stripe, it might be a very neat combo. I would think this might qualify as a one of one variety. Probably wants 25K for it though, so he may have it for a while....DW

I really Love the Odd Combos, but not sure about this One.

Mint Turquoise actually gets the Pink, Orange, Blue stripes. This is one of the coolest 70 Judge colors that there is. Also one of the rarest!

I concur. Mint Turquoise and parchment would be excellent, but I don't think it's going to look nearly as good with red interior.

Shouldn't the steering column be painted red up to the steering wheel? Seems to me that the originals were painted the same color as the interior. Also, the area of the dash bleow the steering column should be red as well. Take a look at that white 69 Judge that is always forsale on Ebay. The steering column and the portion of the dash under the column are all red like the rest of the interior.

I know somebody with one Mint + Sandlewood.

Andre 07-30-2008 07:54 PM

Mint turquoise is rare on a GTO, but on a Judge with a red interior, it might well be a single digit car if not the only one.

i bought a mint / black / black / pink ra 3 4 speed back around 80 or 81 from the original owner. beautiful color. tim dye now owns it and almost had it totally restored and then is now doing a little back tracking on it to take it to a even higher level of restoration.

Very cool! That was as close to white or parchment as you could get in 1970.

URHONOR 08-02-2008 01:20 AM

There were 442 1970 GTO Judges sold new in Canada in 1970 from all assembly plants.

Oshawa Ontario assembly plant built 288 GTO Judges in 1970.

The majority of these 288 Judges were sold new in Canada but many of these Oshawa built Judges were delivered as new cars in US as well.
