70 GTO repair question
 

What do you guys think this would take to repair? How long would it take to R&R the front nose passenger fender and hood for an amateur. Here are the pics. I am ready to dive in again! I appreciate all of your help always!!!

Without knowing your skills and working speed it's impossible to answer this.

Don't worry about the amount of time it will take since whatever you guess count on double or triple the time easily, so just enjoy the experience and save a GTO. I have been restoring mine on most Saturdays for about 3.5 years, but I am getting close to having completed all the major body work & board sanding. Then the body comes off the frame for sandblasting and powdercoating. Light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter!

I am not a body guy or have been trained in bodywork. But I have successfully R&R'd the front clip of a 1989 firebird formula. The gM book helped alot. I think I am more scared to do work on a classic muscle car for fear I will damage it. And GTO parts are litttle more $$$ than 89 firebird parts were in the early 90's. I can do it. DO you guys think it looks easily fixable? The guy told me that when he dented the bottom of the fender and the door wouldn't open he tried to loosen everything and adjust the fender so the door would open again and that is when the nose drooped . I didn't see any issues. Thanks again guys!!!

if you've done a clip on a bird,this should'nt be much different.Looks like the fender was pushed up and back.Drop the nose,pull the dent as much as you can while it's on the car,then pull the fender off to finish.At least that's how I'd probably proceed,judging by the pictures.Good luck.

I kept trying to figure out why my passenger side fender stuck out about a 1/4 of an inch along where it aligns with the door??? then one day I was sitting low on a roller chair on the passenger side and I noticed there was a dent down low. After inspecting it I descovered my passenger side front fender was hit at some point down low almost underneath where it bolts onto the frame. Anyways, I pulled it off and took a dolly and different body hammers and knocked out the dent. Then when I tried putting the fender back on guess what happened?!? It now fit flush perfectly against the front door! It's amazing what a body dolly and hammer will do!
