16x8 Rallye IIs

Does anybody know of a good source for 16x8 Rallye II rims at a reasonable price? Wheel Vintiques lists them for over $230 ea.

Possible a better idea would be to find sombody who could put 15" centers on 16" bands. Any recomendations?

Try here:http://earlywheel.com/

If the vendor cannot supply aftermarket Rally II centers, you should be able to send four factory 15" Rally II wheels to the vendor to have the centers removed and welded into a set of 16x8" rim blanks.

I'm sure you have a lot of reasons for choosing 16s, but you may want to consider going up to 17s. Since most performance vehicles have stepped up to 17s or bigger, the tire makers are either discontinuing several of the 16s sizes or at minimum no longer making the newer technology tires in those sizes. Going up to 17s will increase the available choices.

second that on the tires available for 16s but also keep in mind that if you need to clear big brakes the bell will still be 15" so they would most likely not fit big brakes

You guys make some interesting points. I'm trying to work with Michelin tires. I have a pair of 215/60R15 on the front with 15x8 Ralley IIs the nailed the look I'm after.

Michelin no longer makes wide 15" tires. They do have some 225/60R16.
You are right about there being a a greater selection with 17", I just figured the prices for 17" rims would be even higher.

At this time I have 235/60R15 Tiger Paws on the rear but don't like having mismatched tires.

There was a pic posted the other day of 17" Rally II's and I would strongly recommend taking a peep at that if you haven't done so already to form your own opinion.

Do you remember where it was posted or have a link?
