Fullsize Tubular Control Arms
I want thank Paul at RARE for making upper and lower control arms for the 65 66 fullsize. I have had them installed in the car for 2 1/2 months now and work great! He said he doesn't have them on his website yet but they are available for $199.00 a pair with poly bushings installed and 2 for the axel mount.

That's pretty neat, I didn't know anyone was making them for full size cars. Do they replicate the original suspension geometry or did he tweak them somehow for better handling? Post some picture if you have them.

Paul is the best! He will also make them with the treaded bung on one end for the Currie Johnny Joint.....
|
That is pretty neat if that's the case.... May have to do some thinking about this for the winter... :)

Wait a minute, you must be talking about rear control arms. Now you went and got me all excited for front tubular control arms!!
|
The rears
Stuart, They are direct replacements. There was no tweaking I had to do. I sent Paul my old ones and he used those for templates.
Fat Cat, I'm sorry, Yes the rears not the fronts. Does anyone make the fronts yet? I'll post some pics when I get a chance. |
I was thinking front control arms as well.
|
I thought I read someone was trying to make front ones at one point in time, but don't recall for sure.
I had my rear ones done up by the guys at BOP Engineering. Tubular upper an lower arms with the uppers being adjustable. Very nice pieces! |

Yeah....you late model guys get all the "trick" stuff....;) Now all you need is a direct replcement coil-over shock package..or do you ? $1.800.00 later I have custom upper and lower cm control arms with a panhard bar... just added QA1 DA coil-overs...:D I think it's great that some one does this though.... |
