shipping body parts
 

If I need to ship some large body parts (hood, fender, door) across the country who have you found to be the most reasonable and how do I package them? Thanks for your feedback!

If "commercial" shippers like FORWARD AIR or GREYHOUND SHIPPING (or others) everyone uses is to high priced....try;

Independent haulers and they quote your load. Check references and feedback though.
I had excellent success hauling front clip + more from West Coast to NC with a lady hauler who took care of everything like buying blankets at Goodwill and wrapping. Shipped doors, fenders core support, hood, inner fenders.. bunch of stuff. Cheap compared to other commercial shippers by the time you pay someone to crate or buy boxes which can be costly.

I use Greyhound bus

For individual items I'd use Greyhound bus. To ship multiple items together I would put into a large box or gaylord container and use R&L Carriers www.gorlc.com
