I have the cable from a 76 if its the same.

I know that a 78/78 cable from a Firebird/Trans am Pontiac V8 4bbl. is dimensionally the same.

I put one in MY 70 a few years back & all I had to do was dress down (file) the plastic block that snaps into the firewall.
