Help me ID this mystery part please!
2 Attachment(s)
This metal panel came with my '67 400, no idea where it goes or what it does or whether I should just scrap it.
Some pics are attached, it measures ~51x7x3" and I cannot find a part number on it. THANK YOU! 674 |
That is an air baffle that bolts to the bottom of the front valence. I don't think they are being reproduced in steel, so don't scrap it.

it's worth $200 +- on ebay,it helps keep the car cool, along with the two x fillers up top.
|
You have ended a very long mystery for me haha!
The X fillers I do not have, I thought those were for AC cars? Or should I have them being that my car is an original 400 car? If I need them can I buy those repo and where? Thank you! I'm glad I kept all the goodies!!! |

Yes, you should have them. They will aid in cooling, it directs air to the radiator. Classic Industries and Ames, but I'm not too sure about our host. |
I believe it was 400 cars and A/C cars?

LOL I think that might be the last part that's not reproduced
I'm on board with the cooling thing -- I have the X fillers and the pictured panel and I have no temp issues with a stock radiator and a built 455. |
You should throw all those parts away.
I can give you the address that my garbage cans reside at! :D |

Azbirds,
I'd be interested in obtaining one of those panels. Shoot me a PM if you want to part one. Thanks. |
