TRANS AM SHIFT BOOT 1995
 

I HAVE A 95 FIREBIRD T/A THAT HAS A 6 SPEED TRANS. THE SHIFTER BOOT/ PLASTIC BASE IS BROKEN/MISSING PARTS. THE SHIFT BOOT IS FINE BUT THE RETAINING PLASTIC RING IS SHOT. THE DEALER SAYS THIS IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. WHERE CAN I GET A REPLACEMENT? WILL A LATER MODEL COMPLETE CONSOLE FIT INTO THE 95 IF I HAVE TO GO THAT ROUTE?

Wouldn't the best bet be to get the part used?

And yes, the '93-'97 and '98-'02 consoles can be interchanged, although minor tweaking might be necessary. I know this because both types can be installed in '82-'92 Birds...I put an '02 in my '92.

Wish i could find a used one. But no luck.

Anybody know of any one reproducing or selling this?

a guy on e-bay is selling a replacement steel ring to replace the plastic ring that usually breaks. you just re use your old boot. slick fix for 26.00
