WTB Richmond or Doug Nash 5-speed transmission

I'd like to find one in nice shape with 1st gear in the 3.00 to 3.28 range. Must be the synchronized or "street" version. Anyone?

You know I often ondered what they were like in a street driven car? I have not heard a lot positive things about the race trans and its performance on the street but on the flip side I heard it was decent on the strip............ I would be interested tto see how one works for a dailey drive though...

Street driven 4+1 Nash Transmissions (with syncros) was just fine.
I put one in a Lightning Truck prototype many years ago and bought a second unit for myself. You need either the Hurst 5 speed shifter or the Leonard Long 5 speed shifter.

The first gear was 3.27 and final drive was 1.0 to 1. Worked great with a 2.75 or 3.08 gear for street driving.

Back to the original posters question, yes, they are out there sir. A buddy bought one not too long ago with a Long shifter. If I hear of one I will pass the contact name to you.

Frankie...........Bob Davis may still have his 5-speed. He lives in Austin......do you know him? If not, I can get you in touch with him.
I think he was wanting $1500 with shifter too.

That would be great. No, I don't know him. Please let me know if you find out anything.
