Rear bumper rechroming...costs...
Any idea what I'm looking at (ballpark) to have the rear bumper on my 68 GTO rechromed?
Thanks... |
I paid $600 for my rechroming last year. They had to fill two holes from a bumber hitch that the previous owner installed.

I paid about 900$ for both bumpers. Medford Plating did them they run up and down I-5, picked my bumpers up and dropped off when they were done.

OUCH!
You're sh!ttting me! That really sucks...:( |
Got a $300.00 quote on my 71 Bumper by a crew that has done acceptable, but not great work in the past. Only took them about 6 weeks the first time and 3 the second time to get it right on a previous bumper...
The new 71 re-pop bumper, that folks on this forum have described as good to very good, sells for about $380 delivered to my door..... I ordered the re-pop today and will put the OEM core on the shelf |
Had mine straightened and rechromed for $420 last summer in Kansas City.

Tri City plating quoted me $450 for a 71 rear bumper, I just bought a repro bumper for $329.

Just like Steve V said, Tri-city plating wanted $450.00 to do the back bumper on my '71 and that was with me doing the drop off and pick up. I went with the repop as well.
