67 thru 69 bird build sheet locations
 

Post where you have found them.

It would be interesting to figure out where the most to least common locations would have been.

Found the build sheets for all three of my firebirds under the front buckets. Bought a seat of front buckets and found a build sheet there as well.

Found mine under the rear seat.

Under rear seat

inside the lower rear seat springs
under front seat carpet
inside front seat spring
under rear carpet partly on top of the hump

remember theres a body broadcast and a build sheet.

What's the difference between them?

My 67 had a nice copy under the springs of the rear seat and remnants of the same copy under the front seat between the pass front bolt of seat bracket under carpet.

One was Fisher Coachworks the other was PMD

Under rear seat, in rear seat cushion, in rear seat back cushion, under RH front seat, under carpet (front- RH), under rear sound deadner (RH), RH front seat between frame & bracket.

Most of sheets found will be the BODY BROADCAST COPY.
Very rare to find the CHASSIS BROADCAST COPY (especially on 67-68).

BODY B/C: Used by Fisher Body
CHASSIS B/C: Used in Final Assy (Chassis related operations)

Even more rare than these two sheets is an inspection sheet (have only seen one).

Also have found sheets from vehicles built before/after subject vehicle.
Also have found partial sheets and blank sheets.

I found mine on the top of the gas tank. 69 built in Lordstown.

Found mine under the rear seat, tucked up in the springs.

John - those inspection sheets (with the punches in them) were legal documents (that is, had specific record retention requirements) and were not supposed to get out.

That's probably why you've seen only the one.

When you say in rear seat cushion,Do you mean in the springs or actually inside the cover and hog rings?

I have also seen them behind the seat backs in the front seat. Never under the covers though has anyone else seen them under the covers and inside the seat?

I found both of mine under the rear seat bottom between the springs and the burlap.

One in rear seat springs, one under front carpet, and one behind driver set back.

Fisher used the UOIT (Uniform Option Information Tag). Those are rare to find.

The body sheet followed the body, chassis sheet was used in the engine dress and chassis areas. Neither were used by Fisher. http://www.camaros.org/assemblyprocess.shtml#chev (updated with new pics).

I don't think the inspection sheets were legal documents. They documented the buy-off of the car by the various dept's and helped keep track of necessary repairs.

I have been in all locations mentioned above and never found anything...but my car has been apart a few times and "restored" by a prev owner to the one before me ,so, probably gotten tossed out somewhere along the way...

or it simply evaporated..
have a few that not much is left,you can tell age and weather has taken its toll.

Really? I'd be interested to see any UOIT's. They are pretty uncommon in Camaros.
Heck, I'd like to see any broadcast sheets anyone would like to send my way. I've been working on the broadcast sheets for years and comparing to Firebird sheets would help.
