Big fan of Michael's Hot Rod Garage in Hatboro pa. 215-773-8322 He does great work and can do most anything . After trying many ill fitting hoods he decided to make his own for my car and it is the best one I have ever seen .He has high quality control standards that exceed my own. --jvp--

thanks for posting.

Thats a sweet 69 TA vert I am assuming its a clone?

I am planning on doing another 69 vert myself one of these days. should have never sold mine in the first place.

I want to do a twin turbo 69 T/A clone for the street.

Possibly a tube chassis car based on vette suspension but will depend on what I find for a body.

skidjvp 04-29-2009 06:59 PM

Yes its a clone but a real jaw dropper just the same. Under the sits a 1969 XH motor with a big cam that I had Paul Spotts degree and break in on stand. Q-jet through street dominator into #62 heads , out through jet hot hookers then flowmaster american thunder exhaust sys. car runs as good as it sound and vice versa --jvp--

That is one BEAUTIFUL CAR right there!!!!! I'm looking to build a 69 TA clone, need to find a suitable base 69 first. (KNOW OF ANY IN THE AREA for sale?) Did this shop do most of the work? paint, stripes, etc? Chalfont is only 20 minutes from me.

I used TOP NOTCH AUTO WORX in Sellersville PA, for my 69 convertible, Mike and I pretty much did everything but the paint, totally stripped the car ourselves, then re assembled it after paint and did all the detail work under the hood, trunk, undercarriage, interior, and Top Notch replaced the quarters with some NOS ones I found in Hemmings. The guy is a true artist!! My rear panal was dented so bad I thought it was not repairable. Rich Mitman the owner of the shop made that piece look better than new. My car is a show car, but I do drive it. It's also on the side of PY's new 44' trailer. When he did the work on my 69, he gave me a price up front, but now he gets paid by the hour, so I will not use him to do my TA Clone, as I don't trust that way of pricing. I'd have no idea knowing if he's working on the car or not. But he is good at what he does!! A few pics... every piece was painted seperately OFF the car.

Mary Ann, is Top Notch still in business? I heard he retired.

skidjvp, your car looks great. I'm surprised I haven't seen it around. Love the Lake Galena backdrop. I've wanted to do that forever but never seem to find time. Mark O.

turbo69bird - didn't mean to jack your thread - good luck in your search. :focus:

Yes Mark Rich just moved his shop to Sellersville where he lives. In fact I recommended him to Jim Zeek, and Rich has PaPa Zeek's GTO there right now. Rich was at the D.Q. Cruise a week ago and I was talking to him about my pillar post issues.

skidjvp 04-30-2009 06:16 PM

let me know when the next D.Q. run is. Car has not been in Q-town yet and I could go for a m&m milkshake.
