Bumper repair as business?
Local guy here is retiring and he is selling a mobile bumper repair business.Claims to make good money while having complete control of his schedule.Anyone have any experience with this type of business?TIA-John

I think Keystone is the 800lb gorilla of that industry; at least around here they seem to take care of nearly all the bumper repair business. http://www.keystone-auto.com/bodyshops/bumpers.html They also do straightening and rechroming of old car bumpers, by the way; they bought the old Northstar Bumper chrome shop in Brainerd, MN some years back, and the quality of their work is very good.

I thought municipalities were coming down on those guys for painting outside? I know I've seen this on my local (Philly) news. They were doing minor body repairs right in the dealer's lot from a van and painting out in the open. Some area body shops blew the whistle on them. Not sure if that's what you mean, though.
