Legendary Auto Interiors Problems......
 

This is my first experience w/ this company who came highly recommended for producing the best quality reproduction interior for my 66 GTO. I ordered a complete aqua interior less headliner (already replaced), carpet, w/strips, window fuzzies, door handles, and trunk seal. I chose to order direct, instead of thru our host, to insure proper color matches from the same dye lot on each item.

I placed the order in late June of this year, was billed immediately (WTF?), and received the first 5 boxes of parts in late July. When checking the shipper, I noticed numerous missing items like the w/strips. I called the after sale service line and was told to leave a message. After 4 days w/ no call back, I called the # again and I was again told to call back. Catching on, I called the new order line and explained my shortage. I received the 3rd degree as if I was attempting to become a stocking dealer by bagging the missing parts. She finally agreed to ship the missing parts, but explained that they do not stock any parts except vinyl yardage and the items necessary to makle up seat covers and door panels. So she placed the order on her supervisor's desk for his approval and action. I began receiving some of the missing parts over three days of last week (1 month later!). In spite of my invoice stating that my car is a 66 post/sedan, I received the h/t door seals and 4 door handles. To their credit, they issued a RMA and had the wrong parts picked up @ their expense.

Here's the new problem: when I inquired today about an eta on the w/strips I was told that when they receive the incorrect parts, they will THEN order the correct parts and THEN ship them to me. So after being informed that it wpuld be another 3-4 weeks, I canceled the remaining back ordered parts, and hope that I never need to do business w/ them again.

This complaint is only about the lousy customer service and the ridiculous lack of inventory carried by this company, not the quality/workmanship of their upholstery.
