Not what I was looking for, but you have to take what's out there.
I just bought this rust free 65 2+2 in CA. The 421 is long gone. It was originally a special order color Verde Green (has the extra trim tag and PHS to prove it). Has a few nice options too.

Very Nice !!! Love those cars .

Txbobcat 09-25-2009 08:19 AM

Beautifull color and car. Smile when you drive that

TOTALLY kick A$$!!! I found a beat up 66 Bonne behind the liquor store. The badges had it with a 421 or 428 I can't remember. I popped the hood, that engine was long gone too. The heads were stamped 4X. Turned out to be a 400. I wanted that car so bad.... The guy towed it away. Never returned any of my calls. I hope he didn't junk it.

You are right, get it while the gettings good. There isnt much out here on the east coast.

Beautiful car!!!!!!!

Beautiful car. I like the color. Especially with the white interior. Reminds me of my step dads 65 Bonneville Convet that got me hooked on these cars.

stevep 09-25-2009 09:54 AM

One thing is for sure is those hubcaps have to go!!

AROWHED 09-25-2009 10:45 AM

Pretty slick score, Steve...but it needs a skull on the door!

19652plus2 09-25-2009 11:08 AM

Beautiful car! Best of luck. From the pics, one can see some of those nice options.

Very Smooth! Like the color combo.....don't keep us in suspense Steve; whats it got in it now??

63 Pontiac 09-25-2009 12:09 PM

Cool car, how did you find it? Let's go with poverty caps or 8 lugs.

A friend in San Jose saw it on Craigs List and told my local friend and he turned me on to it.

8 lugs are my choice.

Of all the big car years, the 65's are the best look'n.

65WJ 09-25-2009 03:55 PM

Very nice Steve
Those hub caps are not that bad. Heck those are what mine originally came with. Oh wait yeh I did throw those in the trash.:)
I noticed no red line on the tach. Any Idea of the production date?
Now all you need is a 4 speed set up. What Gear ratio? Posi?

patrick

Patrick,

Judging by the vin sequence #107771, I'd say that it was an early car.

I am not going to make it a stick. There is a Black/red 66 4 speed 2+2 that I was trying to buy, but the owner and I had some disagreements. Maybe he'll call me back??

As soon as I see the PHS, I'll post what it has/had.

That looks as nice as your wagon. Sweet.

Actually, it looks better in the pictures, but it is a very presentable car.

The wagon has been sold to a PY member overseas. I still have it in my possession.
