70 GTO JUDGE ride along movie

I bought an onboard camera and have been shooting footage when I drive my cars. I then use MS moviemaker to make a film. The sound is limited because the camera is in a water/windproof box, but the video is kinda cool.
This last one took me 3 hours of editing!

There is more there in my videos to see....

Enjoy,

what file format do you upload to youtube for that?
I ask because I use firefox downloadhelper and put the good ones in a file, but that one, as well as alot of new ones on you tube I can save but bnot as a file I can view, and has no file type listed, just says file.
Any ideas?? Thanks, Bruce

I wish I was that techinally savy! I use moviemaker and it produces a wmv file when you finish it. When you are working it, it is some other file. Try moviemaker (its free) and see if that converts it in to a file you can upload.

Nice movie :)

I liked the part where you can see your front tire, the white letters on the tire move in the opposite direction... very cool.
Next video would be even cooler without the music and the mic under the hood :D

I like the tire shots too. I wish I had a separate mic, but it is bult into the camera and when you film outside the car, it limits the sound (and the wind too). I am getting better at this whole thing, and will start to incorporate a normal camera for stationary shots with good sound.

I like the music, the fun part is editing to the rythym of the song.

I just like engine sounds :p

I am finishing my 7 year engine rebuild at the moment, but it goes way slow.
I just can't wait to hear the first startup of the engine.
It is very scary on one side and very exiting on the other. It is the first rebuild I have ever done in my life. So once I will fire it up for the first time, I will know if everything was done right or not... so fingers crossed.

And, I love watching other peoples cars.
I love your car, it looks great :)
And again I loved watching the movie, I have been a couple of times in the US. your video brought back memories. By the way, was that a Stake and Shake you drove by? (the diner with the red roof?)
When I was in Indiana, I just had to have a banana shake when I drove by Stake and Skake.. :D

Cool vid thanks for posting.

For some reason I really like the angle on the camera on the front door hinge when you where getting in the goat!

Does the Judge have posi?

I love engine sounds too! Good luck with yours.

The building I drive around is as iconic, and good, as Steak and Shake............it is a Dairy Queen!

Cheers,

John

I like that shot too.,...........especially for an opener to the footage.

And yes, the Judge is Posi, not sure why the black streak is single: could be my weight (275 then down to 250 now!!) on that side or the crowning of the road etc.

Now I will have to do one with a good set of twin patches.:D

Did you like how I timed it to the lull in the tune??

The Boss 09-28-2009 07:31 PM

Love the video John, and the garage too!

Strap it on to the TA next and take that out! ;)

getmygoat 09-28-2009 08:28 PM

nice

silver and blue. Cool.

Garage. Awesome.

You're living the dream man!

Silver Judge 09-28-2009 09:56 PM

Tasty, Tasty Palladium Silver Judge, oh yeah !
Nice video Johnny HP :)
Hard not to notice the other outrageous muscle in the garage also--

Looks like you had fun experimenting with camera placements
I've been thinking of doing similar vids but also trying interior camera mounts
The guys that have roll bars seem to have more options for an interior mount though

Is your Judge an Arlington TX car?

shawn e. 09-28-2009 11:07 PM

Oh man, was not expecting the collection in you garage! WOW Cool movie too.

Shawn

JohnnyHorsepower 09-28-2009 11:24 PM

Thanks everyone, glad you enjoyed. The judge is Canadian (Oshawa) built and U.S. sold.

I usually do interior shots, you can see some in my other videos (mainly the M3)

I went back and looked closely, and you can see posi rubber being burnt, in the first 20ft, then the outside tire must have lost some contact and the patch looks like one tire. its both...

I plan to shoot more when I get the chance. I have some good Hemicuda footage "in the can"

Did anyone take a boat ride?

John
