70 gto new motor wonit start from key turn key on 12 volts at coil engage starter only 6 volts at coil connect wire from battery + side to + side of coil it starts and sounds nice NEED HELP thanks jim

If you have an HEI now, just run ya new wire from a 12v switched spot on your fuse box to the coil and call it a day. Most people do that anyway because some of the old systems wouldnt get (and didnt need) 12v to the coil with the original wireing.
