Pleased that the Saints did it. Good for them and a fun game to watch!
|
After all those years of being losers, the Saints are the champs. I think it's great. Congrats, Saints.

patrick ps deep down Archie had to smile a bit, ya think? |
Congrats Saints and Drew Brees for MVP! Some guttsy calls on both sides. Great game!
|
Whew. Finally got that Gorilla off our backs.
The party is slamming down in NO tonight. |
As a football fan since 1972, you could always count on the Saints as the unlucky losers of the NFL. No longer!
|
Saints killed'em. Who'da thunk.
|
How about Sean Payton, Coach of the Year?
:) Off side kick right out of the half time show. |
Well, I lived to see the day when the Saints won the Super Bowl...
and for all us Marylanders...Sorry Irsay family! Ha! Thanks New Orleans! |

Going for it on 4th and goal and the onside kick to start the second half are sure some gutsy calls. Dem be the Aints no more. Great defensive play calling in the second half. Manning usually gets better as the game goes on, but not yesterday. Good for them and good to get some new blood at the top of the NFL. |
Congrats to the great folks at "Crusin The Coast" (the huge week long Cruise on the Mississipi Gulf Coast), who are big Saints fans. From that first game back in the Superdome post-Katrina win over the Atlanta Falcons to this Super Bowl win. WOW, one unbelievable ride! You folks who lived through the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and the ongoing rebuilding, along with your neighbors in New Orleans, deserve this and have a big reason to smile today.

Who'da thunk it, gotta love it...:D
|
Saints fans can now burn all of New Orleans' brown shopping bags in tribute to the fact they're no longer Aints.
On a side note, before the Super Bowl, ESPN ran a story on the Saints where a guy in the 60s said "The Saints will never be winners because you can't have a team name that mocks God." |
Who cares! a fluke these 2 teams even made it there.
|
I wasn't rooting for the Saints, but I'm glad they won it fair & square, with no help from bad officiating.
It was pretty cool to see Len Dawson, another Purdue quarterback, presenting the Lombardi trophy. He looked better than he did four years ago, when they had all the past SB MVP winners in the pregame cerimony. |
