1971 Pontiac “Monk King GTO 4-door”
2 Attachment(s)
No not a GTO, but it is as close as you could get to a 4-door GTO if Pontiac had officially built one.
For sale is my 1971 Pontiac Lemans Sport 4-door hardtop. This is a factory T-41 Endura Optioned car. The car is factory equipped with the numbers matching 455-4bbl, dual exhaust, Turbo 400 Automatic, 12 bolt posi, front disc brakes, rally guage cluster, hood tach, honeycomb wheels, power steering, brakes windows, locks and seats (yes, car was originally ordered with all these options). Car drives very well. I drive it to cruise night.
The car is a great conversation piece as you do not see very many 4-doors equipped like this one. It is truly a rare and unusually equipped car from the factory with PHS documentation.
Car is not a rust bucket as it has very solid frame, floors, cowl and core support. But the car has had previous “Maaco” type body and paint work in the usual rust prone areas of the car (lower quarters, doors, front of hood, trunk lip, rear window channel). The interior is nice as I had the car reupholstered in original pattern. Missing original radio. Dash is cracked, but I installed a dash cap. Engine compartment needs detailing. A/C does not work (but it is all there), hood tach is not hooked up and left rear door does not open (latch is stuck). If you are looking for an interesting, rare and fun car to drive around on cruise nights or to use for Muscle Car/Pure Stock type drags, this car would be great for that purpose. Car is originally Lucern blue color with a Nordic Silver painted top, but car was painted black by a previous owner a long time ago. I also have all of the original trim and Lemans Sport emblems if you are wanting to put it back to its original Lemans Sport configuration.
I would really like to see this car go to a Pontiac enthusiast before I list it for sale to the general public. I hate to sell this car, but it is time for me to move on as caretaker of this car.
I am asking $8,500. Car is located in Houston, TX. If you have any questions, please call me. If I do not pick up the phone, please leave a message and I will call you back. Thanks. 713-296-6615 John
