71-72 T/A Stripe
 

Anyone have/seen any pics of 70-73 cars with the centre stripe package on other colour cars aside from lucy blue and white I think I saw a red one a while back ....kickin around the idea of the stripe package for my bird but lookin at different colors beside the norm....thanks in advance Chris

there was a red 72 trans am if i'm right,used the stripe for the blue car.

i did a clone years ago(1984) that was based on a rust free 73 body,455HO 4 speed 3.31 12 bolt posi.since the car had a perfect 73 burgandy deluxe interior we painted it white and painted a matching burgandy stripe.looked great when it was done and different.put the exhaust on it may the 7th and got t-bone by a drunk driver may the 11th.glad it was the clone not the real one that got crunched.

Well I"m kinda still leaning to to Copper/Castillion Bronzish color and would like to strip it with the stripe kits avilable just not sure how they would look and/or which one ...
The one u built sounded cool and if there is a bright side your right lucky it was a clone but still doesn't make it any easier on the loss...:(....Chris

There was only one red TA with a white stripe cust made by pontiac for a driver or ? good looking car let me know if you would like a pic of it sent out

I found a story about this car a while ago .Pontiac Painting this a 1 off car for eather a race car driver ,team owner , I belive this had something to do with a retirement of some type,

I think its a great idea and the Pontiac marketing guys missed a trick by restricting the colors. Are you thinking of painting the stripe or getting decals made up? I think the stripe would be easy enough to mask. If you want matching Firebird nose or TransAm badge decals, I found this company:

We'll thinkin more of using the original stiping packages from like stencils and stripes I think Wont be doin this for a while just doin some brainstormin...
