Horn won't shut off

I finally connected my new horn relay , when I connect the hot lead the horns sound and won't shut off. I checked the steering wheel horn contacts and nothing is touching. Where should I check ?

Check the horn relay on the firewall inside the engine compartment

Make sure the circuit from the horn relay to the steering column is not grounded. :)

wiring in the column if it's tilt for sure.

May still be that if it's not.

I checked the horn contacts so it's not that, all the wiring forward of the firewall is new. I guess I will be pulling the steering wheel next.

Unplug the turnsignal switch first and see if the concern goes away. :) If it does, the short is in the column, if not then the wiring to the relay or the relay. :)

Well I decided since I had the steering wheel pulled off I replaced the turn signal switch. I opened up the relay and the inside was shorted out , the wires were burnt. I guess I will be getting a new horn relay. Thanks for the responses.
