The original exterior color would have been Martinique Bronze. It is hard to tell from the Pics, but it does not look like original color. Original color is a faded looking gold.

I will have to dig out my book & look for interior color. Again, it is hard to tell from Pics, but the color does not look exactly right. Could just be digital camera. The interior should be a much truer 'gold' than exterior with some metallic in it.

Here are 2 pics of pretty much original color exterior was repainted with more metal & slightly darker. Fender skirt is original color. It is very hard to get this color across in a Pic.

Get a pic of the trim tag and post it up.

Dashpad has been recovered for sure (note the stiching along the edge). Door panels and sun visors look original, but I have never seen that color in a '66 (of course that doesn't really mean much since I am not that smart about '66s).

Definitely post an in-focus pic of the data plate when you can...

None of that interior looks original. Seat patterns and sunvisor material are incorrect. Would have been the morokide, prestige cloth or leather. Neither of those had that pattern. Dashpads in all "gold" '66s I have ever seen are a milk chocolate brown, so what they did that with is very close less the stitching.

It looks good but it's not factory....

I'd concur with Bruce. That car looks like it's had a full retrim. It does look good but if you are after it being factory correct, there are some things not right.

The sunvisors are too fat and badly stitched at the ends near the rear view mirror. And the seat tops look too "square". To me they should be more rounded at the top.

The carpet colour looks wrong to me too. A bit too yellow but that might only be the picture

But hey..... the car looks great and very useable.:D There are heaps & heaps of cars out there with a lot worse trim than this one.

You are going to have a lot of fun with this big girl in the Scandanavian sun:D:D

On the behalf of Sten-Ake who started this subject i put his trimcode in: 5651 and T1 is the paintcode. We know T1 is Mart Bronze, white top but the trimcode?
I have/had a few 65-66 and none had 4 digits on the trimcode.
Sten-Ake 19bonni66 has some loginfailure but is reading this and sure is online again.

According to the Pontiac Master parts book (Body) there are no 4 digit codes for trim. The only thing I see there is that there is sometimes a 4th letter for the seat style, but I don't see a 1 or I. I could not find any special notations or anything that would suggest a custom color or what have you that would have used an extra digit.

So... my interpretation of the # is that it is 565 which would make sense. That corresponds to fawn genuine & imitation leather in a 26267 car. I am certain that they still make a fawn carpet, & I have an original 1966 carpet manuf. tag that was stapled to the carpet out of a Mart. Bronze 2 door bonneville that says the # & 'fawn'. My MB 2 door parts car has prestige cloth/Im leather in fawn (543) and my Mart. Bonze wagon has fawn imitation leather (562).

I believe I used Ivy Gold when I went back in mine b/c fawn was pretty hideous & did not match the rest of the interior.
