TH350 Kickdown Cable Removal
 

I am pulling aTH350 transmission out of my car and have a question about removing the kickdown cable. How do I remove it from the transmission case? I took the bolt out that holds it in and wiggled the cable housing out of the case, but is the cable connect to something inside the transmission case? Do I have to drop the pan and unhook cable from something? The cable itself did not comeout of the whole.

Just disconnect the cable from where it connects to the throttle linkage and you will have enough slack to pull it up enough to disconnect it from the rod in the trans. You should not have to drop the pan unless the cable has been modified in some way.
