Plain steelies
Does anyone know where i can get plain steel wheels (15''x8''x4-3/4bolt pattern) and 4 1/2'' spacing? I checked Wheel Vintiques and i cant find them on their website. Thought they made them. Goin for the stock look on the bird... thanks! I got the fronts already. They also have to accept pontiac dog dish cap.

Year one has any kind of wheel you need rally ones or two's or corvette rallys or just plain steel wheels great place to deal with.

If you have lots of patience Stockton Wheel will make anything you need. They are who did the wheels for my 63 Tempest.

BTDT,,,enough said... :censored:  There are lots of threads here about stockton wheel,I suggest the OP do a search if he want's to get some feedback on them. I'd also suggest calling wheel vintiques instead of just looking at their website,as often an outfits website leaves a lot to be desired, and they very well might have exactly what the OP is after, even if the website is crap to navigate and find such. There were also some alternative vendors mentioned in those threads on this. So a search of the archives is your best bet for more info on this sorta deal. :2cents: Bret P. |

My work was'nt even that good, two of the rims are'nt very straight at all,and they always require a ton of weight to balance them,no matter what tires end up on them.
So I even have to put a big ? on the quality of their work based on my experience. And never have I been treated so poorly for just wanting what was already paid for,I supplied the cores (4 wheels),paid to ship them there, paid for the work, paid for return shipping, and they made me feel like I was putting them out by wondering why in the hell it was taking between 6 mos. to a year to get my wheels back... F@ck that, never again. I'd run mags before I'd deal with them again. And I REALLY love steel wheels w/poverty caps. I'll hafta search those threads, there was another place that had rave reviews, but I cant remember the name off the top of my head,IIRC Bart would know (bman). So stay tuned,if I can find the name of that place,I'll get back to ya'll. Bret P. |

The WV "genie" wheels are'nt exactly the same as the WV "OE GM/Ford steel" wheels, there are some subtle differences in those two wheels, that's why there are seperate listings for each series of wheel on their website.
But the WV website stores drop down menus seem to be on the fritz,so who knows what's what with regards to actual wheel availability, that's why I said to call them,a call should cut thru all that stuff. FWIW Bret P. |
I have heard that Wheel Vintiques will do it. Give them a call.

Brent I wish I could help you out, but I don't have any exsperiance with those rims.
When do you think you will have the car out again? I would love to get back to the track and watch you run. I would help you in any way that I am able while you are running. Please give me a call sometime, havn't heard from you in a long time. Brad Spidel |
