Can a factory cam from a 1965 389 fit this block? How do you know?

I have a set of high performance cylinder heads came from a 1966 Pontiac GTO that was parted out which had a 421 engine. I put an ad on Craigslist (http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/pts/2063657153.html) and have an interested buyer and he asked me the following question:

"would these (heads) work with the current cam on a 1965 389?"

Does anyone have an answer?

Here is the Original Part # Head Cast# Valve Sizes Volume for the heads in question:

092 heads are the same for 389 and 421. They are the "big car" casting. GTO had "093". And the answer is "Yes."

With the age of these componets and while the heads are off I would replace the valve springs ( they have to be near dead by now from what I have seen with these age mtors) and atleast install new O-ring seals on the valve stems if not going for cutting the tops of the valve guides and installing positive type seals.
