69 GTO Convertible Heavy Duty Trunk Rods
 

Does anyone know where I can find heavy duty trunk rods for a 69 GTO convertible? I installed a spoiler and trunk won't pop up when opened.

No difference in rods that I have seen. They just need moved to a different slot to increase the torsional preload. If you look up under the trunk filler toward the hinge area you will see slots for adjustment. Be careful in doing so. I think the procedure is described in the service manuals and there is a specific service tool.

The procedure is shown in the Fisher Body Manual.
