7029270 Carb

3 Attachment(s)
I have a 7029270 carb that was my car when I bought it. The car was running and then parked for almost 15 years before I bought it, so I dont know its condition. I bought a new holley, so never tried to run the car with this one.

The full stamping on the side of the carb was 7029270XA 0379, is an automatic carb.

There is no way it is a new repro, as those repro's dont make the long trip here, not at least in those years, so I'm able to assure it is the real stuff.

I'm thinking on selling it as I dont have a 69 (mine is a 66) so there is no reason for me to have a RAIII or IV engine to place it.

The carb is in Santiago Chile, but I'll be traveling to chicago next week and planning to take it with me, and left it on some friends place so they can ship it any where if needed.

I would like to know how much may it be worth, I dont have pics right now, but will have them in the weekend... consider it as "15 years parked" condition... dont want to just go and ebay it, as I prefer someone that needs one to take it instead of anyone that considers it "valuable".

Look at the pictures, this is how I found the car 4 years ago, and detailed pic of the numbers stamped on it.

Really appreciate your help on assessing the value!

Thanks!

Randy, That carb he has here is worth more than all the Caddy carbs combined. Do a little search on the part number and see what I mean.

Thanks brian... would you recommend ebay-ing it? cause to place an ad here I need to set a price, and I'm not sure about it....

best..

Thats what I would do....ebay...People who need these watch ebay.

Thats a good date too... bty.....early 69

Make sure you take close up and clear pics of the other parts that have part numbers on them like the body base...ect.

Bt the way......Are you sure you want to fly with this carb into the US? I think I would FED EX it, imo

Jeff

PS: If you have a price in mind, PM me. I have a GTO this would work on. If auction bound, let me know please. Thank you.

JL Harper brings up a good point. You may want to check w/the airlines first while you still have time for shipping it, if there's any trace of gas fumes on it they may prevent you from bringing it on the plane.

Fedex charges me between $150-250 for taking it...

If you are buying it on ebay.. what would you think about that shipping charge?

I called delta today and they told me that there shouldnt be problems, and if they found gas fumes or odor, they may request me to put it as checked luggage.

Will see what to do.

Thanks to everyone

If that carb has gas odor, it aint getting onto a US bound aircraft, esp from outside of the US!

I would not risk it being confiscated.
