thankfully with a lot of help from people on this forum i recently installed an hei distributor. there have been some pleasant side effects. the oil pressure at idle was almost non existant now it is around 20 lb's. second a lot of my electrical problems have gone. headlights are brighter the volt meter does not go crazy when the turn signals are on. just seems a lot more stable. i do not know how all this changed but i am very happy with it. again thanks guys for all the help !

Be sure to physically verify the ground paths from Firewall metal to Alternator Case.
