Some frustration with my PW 68 convertion

I have completed the install of all my power regulators and ran the rear harness

I still have to remove the instrument cluster to finish the dash harness right it's just laying on the floor.

Ran into a issue with DII 68 chevelle/elcamino regulators (aftermarket ones available for 68)

installed the left regulator in the drivers side door work pretty well with quality seems pretty good( but i thought it looked wrong) the motor was facing up towards the top of the door. I thought all well after market motor maybe that's how its suppose to be?
I didn't have it hooked up to the wiring harness yet just a little jumper I had made from a rear window harness connected to a battery to run the window up and down for installation.

then installed the passenger side. the same no real issue,
got main harness partially install and PS harness ran though the doors
couldn't resist i hooked the harness up and tested all the switches
I discovered that the that the front windows were working backwards they going up when it was suppose to be going down and vise versa.

OK I thought dummy me I must have swapped the regulators right on left, left on right they are not mark any way except for (which I discovered later)a little R and L on the motors in the black plastic very hard to see.

sure enough the motor on the regulator in the Driver door had a little R on it.
so I proceed to remove the passenger reg and install the one from the drivers door.

get the passenger side all back together. now working in the right direction I discover it will only go up about 90% Let me explain one thing that these regulators are Identical right and left the only difference is the rotational direction of the spring and the motor . I got to thinking about it and realized the spring was being load on the way up. Rather than mess with spring (real pain I know I've done it before)

I just switched the motors, and re-installed where i original had them. issue resolved

But they were delivered with wrong motor or the spring installed wrong. (can't be sure now which one?)

so things to look for if you plan on using The Dynacorn regs ( only reason I used them couldn't find originals)
Make sure the motor faces down and the that the spring tension increases as the window goes down. Also the motor is label r and l hard to see but it's there and they will be facing down (like original I think)

Don't know if anyone else has had issues with these. But wasn't a real issue for me but I ordered both so had all the parts to make it work. And quality seems good

the motors face down.
Try that first
