convertible coat hook
2 Attachment(s)
Anybody got a coat hook on their left rail? Trying to figure out if this was an option or maybe the frame was from a buick/olds kind of thing or a later 70-72 kind of thing. It's not a hardtop style coat hook and it's contoured to fit the frame rail perfectly so I really don't think it's some kind of hack add on. I've got 3 top frames and only one has this.

Got one on mine, driver's side only.

Hmmm...I see you both have 68's. I've found two kinds of frames, does your rear bow have the offset stabilizer bar like in this picture or is yours completely flat?
|
My 69 doesn't have one so someone may have taken it off at some point. I know my dads '72 cutlass has the hook.

Mine has the offset bracket as well.

Thanks for checking the offset brackets....that makes 6 offset style from 68/69 guys and 0 flat style. Anyone have an option listing for 69 to see if the coat hook was an option since 3 of the 6 frames I know of didn't have it? I'd think there'd be a pilot hole on the frame rail if they were all supposed to come with the one on the drivers side.

I have never seen one and I have had a few converts over the years

This will be perfect for hanging up my suit coat when heading to those buisness meetings in the goat! :3gears:

I've had some with none, some with just one side and one that had both sides, maybe a plant or early versus late thing. (the above is based on a dozen 69 convertibles)
