64 4 speed console
 

I purchased my 65 GTO in 1976. It was just this week while helping my friend finish up his restoration of his 65 , I learned for the first time that I have the rare 64 console in my car. I'd be willing to sell it so someone could get a really nice 64 console that they need, or possibly swap it for the 65-66?, not sure . I guess I would also be interested in just selling the top plate , the console looks as nice as an original console could look, but the door hinge hardware needs replacing, I have painted it twice over the years ....at this point I'm all ears ????

If you have an early production number 65 I would make absolutely certain it didn't come from the factory that way due to something unusual happening at the factory such as the 65 console supply being depleted and a 64 substituted because it was handy and the end of the day, etc.
