67 gto water pump install question please

Ive been running my 67 gto for ruffly 2 yrs and temps are bouncing off the 200 degree mark and decided to tweek my divider plate , got everything apart no problem but i had one gasket to timing chain cover, all the stores are telling me i need 2 gaskets??? Maybe they mean the one from timing chain cover to block and water pump gasket makes 2???
But no they are saying 2 gaskets between pump and cover so 2 or 1 gasket, i have 2 divider plates in my 67,s timing cover tweeked at .030 to the vaines. can,t wait to try her out!! So 2 gaskets or one guys??????
Exactly what do i do here?? 1 gasket and motor ran fine to me.

There's only one gasket that goes on after the 2 divider plates are installed and before the pump is installed.

I thought at one time there must be a gasket between the divider plates, but that is not so. They might have been thinking that.

Good luck and let us know how it's doing.

Thank You very much, i thought so, it went together without any problems. One more question, any differance between a air con. fan blades and standard ones?? I had a flex fan on my motor and switched back to clutch fan but blades are within 1/8 of hitting shroud????

Not sure but I think the a/c fans are 7 blade and bigger in diameter..... 19-1/2"s?

I've got a 6 blade fan with clutch on mine, and have about an inch clearance to the shroud.... non a/c. Looks to be around 17-1/2"s in diameter. Can't get an accutate measurement tho.... going by catalogs on diameter.

Yes it measures 19.5 and it go,s all the way around without hitting anything, the clutch and fan, hoping ill be safe

If you're not running a/c and you get nervous about the 1/8" clearance, go to the 6 blade fan with the smaller diameter.

Not nervous, excited to see what happens, hope it cools alot better, tuned my stainless divider plates down to about .060 ill know soon!
