hello drive shaft and rear end help pleases
 

i have a 69 camaro rear on my 68 firebird the the drive shaft is 68 firebird but the the universal joint from the 68 firebird drive shaft dont fit the 69 camaro yoke c an i put a 68 firebird yoke on a 69 c amaro rear i thought it would all bolt up any one can help me on this please what should i do

The Camaro uses a 1310 ujoint with exterior clips. The Firebird uses a 1330 with internal clips and is a larger diameter cap. Cheapest fix is a hybrid u-joint. The yokes don't interchange if i remember correctly. Otherwise take the driveshaft to a shop and have the end changed to 1310 style.

is that the right name for it the piece on the rear is it yoke or slip joint

so i have to change the end on the drive shaft that connects to the rear to a 69 camaro universal joing

The yoke is bolted to the rear. The slip joint goes to the transmission.



No. The big question is if the drive shaft still the correct length with chevy rear. It might be, I don't know. If it is you should be able to run to most any autoparts store and order a hybrid U-joint as was mentioned above.
